About the Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology from Wentworth

Forging Real-World Skills in the Classroom

Wentworth's Information Technology students (BSIT) gain valuable skills in enterprise infrastructure, information management, system analysis and design, networks and security, network administration, web and mobile systems, software development, and project management. Our coursework emphasizes practical applications of these skills in the design, development, programming, and implementation of information technology networks and systems. Students also apply these skills directly in the field through two required co-op work semesters beginning their junior year.

Co-op Experience with Top Employers

Through Wentworth’s strong network of employers, including many alumni, IT students obtain professional experience during their two required cooperative education semesters. During these semesters, students gain invaluable, practical employment and experience. Partners who have hired our students include AIR Worldwide, Akamai Technologies, athenahealth, CyberArk, Kayak, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, MITRE, Raytheon, Spark Technology, Starry, and The Broad Institute.
